Can anyone advise any 4* or 5 *hotel in Madrid ?

The Palace Hotel.  It's outstanding & beautiful.

It's a Westin property.

Very close to the Prado Museum.  

That is where we always stay & we love it.

but try to get one in the middle of the city, because it easier to get around and everything and youre closer to the night life :]]

There's the Ritz, right next to the Prado, and the Hotel Metrópolis on the Gran Vía.  These are two of the most prestigeous.
