Can anyone advise how to deal with an orchestrated character assassination?

For the last two years I have been dealing with people carrying out an orchestrated character assassination on me - in shops, in my community and wherever I go, cinema, restaurants etc. I am treated like a criminal. Can anyone advise how to deal with this - I don't trust the Police as I believe ex police and unethical private investigators are involved. I "whistle-blew" on a former employer and suspect it is coming from that direction. Has this happened to anyone you know - particularly in Scotland?

You cant stop it, and cant ignore it, so what is the best plan of action.

I can only go by experience, I was up for a job but had to walk over people to get it, they too had a vendetta, but for me it was easy, I sacked them as I was their new boss.

a couple of choices:-

Relocation until it is forgotten.

Join in and make believe it is not effecting you.

I know I cant solve your individual case but try talking to the Pros, Church, CAB or local council etc

This sounds like a nightmare situation.  You need to gather as much information as possible in the form of a log.  You don't say whether an identifiable person features in all this.  The only way I can think of is to build up a case of harassment. Report each event to the police and  make a note of the CAD reference number each time you call.

Remember that what goes around comes around and there will be an end  to all this at some point.  In the meantime, hold your head up high and try to continue life as normal (or at least try to give the impression that you are).  Also, remember that SUCCESS is the sweetest revenge.
