  1. And I believe it is in the county of Nottinghamshire, which was omitted from the first answer.  Nottingham is also as far from the coastline as you can be, on the British mainland.  Yet we have had a Destroyer in the Royal Navy named HMS Nottingham for many years, and ships before this one carried that name too.

  3. It was in a pretty run-down state when I went there last.

  5. State of Nottingham?

    You mean Nottingham>Eastmidlands>England

    I live there..

    Its like everywhere else..

It has its good and bad.

I love Nottingham and proud to call it my hometown :)

Please feel free to msg me if you have any specific questions as I don't feel you have given me enough information to answer a  question.

  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nottingham

Try this link for some detailed information to help you.

I was born there (St Annes) and have lived there all my life (until a couple of years ago when I moved to Loughborough)

If you mean what is the "State" of Nottingham, as in what is happening socially and generally then I really cant say other than it has its good and bad points (as with all cities) although its a shame about the rise in crime over the last few years and it saddens me to see such a rise with regards to firearm offences

    Hope this helps somewhat.

  7. In the Uk they have county's which are similar to the States of America. Like the states they have regional governments(County Councils) with the leader being called The Mayor sometimes the Lord Mayor and the towns that have a population of around 50,000 have a Town Council again not unlike your Town Councils with a Town Mayor

Nottingham is the Capital City of Nottinghamshire the supposed home of Robin Hood and for civic formal ceremony's they also have a High Sheriff .

  8. Admittedly these figures are 3 years old, but in terms of the inner city , it was termed in 2005 as 'the most dangerous city in the UK'.
