Can anyone answer a question about Vonage???

Does anyone have this service? If so, and I get the $24.99 plan, what is the first bill like? I mean, do they charge a s***load for taxes like cell phone providers do? I have Nextel and I'm trying to look at other options.

Vonage claims to be better then the other companies, but price and service wise they're about the same.

its about 34 dollars with taxes and fees!!

some States and also some US cities charges tx&fees now!!

my city actually charges all VoIP a fee now.....! When I stareted using VoIP 5 years ago, there was nothing  no taxes nor fees, but now the govt is getting wise about us VoIP users and want their cut...
