Question:

Can anyone answer my question about my used Kenmore refrigerator?

I had to manually defrost my Kenmore refrigerator due to dripping of water from the top part of the refrigerator onto the bottom of the refrigerator. After one month with no further problems, it's happening again so I have to manually defrost it again. Why? Should I do anything other than manually defrost a second time?

  1. We purchased our kenmore smart reach freezer on the bottom fridge about 10 years ago. I have noticed the same problem mentioned above, about a puddle forming to the lower left, right under the freezer door, by the foot. Now it seems that the freezer every month or so needs to be defrosted, and the door seal is not tight, in fact it seems the door might have had a child swinging on it at some point because it doesn't align as well as it should, and it basically barely shuts; no resistance at all when you open it. It does have a slight crack near the top of the seal in the freezer. Is there anything we can do from home, like replace the seal ourselves? And then if that doesn't do it, can we realign the door ourselves? Thanks so much!
