you know how people advise you that its better to eat 5-6 small meals a day, than to eat 3 big meals? well what do they really mean by small meals? like i mean how many kilojoules per small meal?

  1. like small idk  what the real like measurment of kilojoules is lol i live in the u.s so ya but like by small they mean like a fruit or like a bag of the baby carrots stuff like that the only yhing is ur never supposed to feel hungry cuz wen u feel hungry ur stomach is alredy feeding on itself so yea =]  


  2. smaller more frequent meals are better because you use up the energy you just consumed.

    if you were to eat a big meal then alot of energy gets stored (as fat) and isn't used right away.

    what they mean by small meals isn't in terms of calories or anything. it depends on your amount of exercise, your body type ect so it different in different people.

    what they mean by small is less than you would eat if you knew you weren't going to get food for some time to come.

    lets say your eating three meals a day. total food amount is 10. so your eating 3.33 every meal.

    now make that 5 meals a day. same total food amount 10. so you eat 2 every meal.

    (trying to make it simple)

    so basically you eat maybe just over half of what you usually eat.

  4. Human body is a complex organism, when you eat meals with wide gap, body converts to fat as reserve to overcome starvation period, where as meals with shorter time gap, body burns most of food, unless you are eating too much.

    Generally people who fast regularly with wide gap like ones a day meal will be fat

    They tend to eat as they are very hungry

    body goes to fat building mechanism to take care of fasting(staravation) period.
