They've had two chances to get into the medal round and blew both of them. Last second goal by the Dutch and getting beaten by Nigeria. Nigeria???

Yes the Americans are good in soccer.  We played really well and should've beaten teams that (on paper) were better than us.  Watching the Netherlands game, I was shocked to see such great play against the U21 UEFA Champions - which means some of the best in the world.   However, we foolishly gave up a last second goal which was demoralizing.

The Nigeria game played well for the US and if Orozco didn't get redcarded in the 3rd, I would have guaranteed victory by the way we were playing.

Feilhaber shouldn't have came in for Altidore...hands down.

Soccer just isn't a big sport in the US. The kids who play soccer in our schools are the ones that were not good enough for Football and basketball. Sorry soccer players, but think about the guys who play on your high school soccer team. Generally the third stringers, one step away from the chess club.

Nigeria on the other hand, soccer is their only big sport.
