Leona Pearl (Gillman) Green. She was unmarried (as far as I know) at the time, so she should be listed under her maiden name Gillman.

She's a non blood related ancestor (not direct, though).

  1. I don't find anything on the internet listing the individual artists who worked on the 1939 World's Fair. But a little snooping and I did find the place that should have the full list of artists and their biographies.

According to the article at the following link, all works were turned over to the Museum of the City of New York in 1941. http://www.carnegiemuseums.org/cmag/bk_i...

    The Museum's website is http://www.mcny.org

    Their mailing address is:

    1220 Fifth Avenue, NY, NY 10029 212.534.1672

I'll bet many of these artists were there as part of the WPA. If you can't find information on her through the museum, I would suggest contacting the Library of Congress to see if they can help you locate a list of all WPA artists and any associated biographies on them. http://www.loc.gov

ETA: I also thought of one other alternative. Most of the artists on the project were paid with federal funds. The National Personnel Center in St. Louis would have some wonderful records on them (which are open to the public as long as the person is now dead). Here's a link that explains how to get information:
