We are going out to Cali for a few days and my friend wants to take my two year old there, she says there is an area for younger children that he may really enjoy and throughout the rest of the park, he'd like walking around and seeing characters anyway. I would love to hear details if you've tried this with your own two year old. Thanks!

  1. I wouldn't suggest taking a two-year-old to disney world. Not in a million years.

  2. I have two small boys 2 and 3. I've taken them to disneyland at least 5 times and they really enjoy it, give it a try why not? The only bad thing is that my kids cannot stay the whole day, we end up taking a lot of breaks throughout the day. I would also suggest that you take a lot of snacks to keep your child entertained oh and diapers too. HAVE A GOOD TIME.

  3. Sorry to say this but he is NOT going to have fun. I just took my 15 month old and he was scared the whole time. I know he is not 2yrs yet but Trust me, they are still too young.

I went to Disneyland a month ago, and thats how i know. My mother took my little Brother when he was 3yrs of age and he too didnt like it. I recommend waiting until at least 4yrs of age. Otherwise it will be a waste of money, TRUST Me. I argued with my wife about it, but of course she always wins. The only reason i agreed to it because I wasnt Paying for our tickets, My mother In-law paid. Although the Kid would be free. But still, why would you waste your own money on your tickets (wife/Husband) to see that your kid wont even like it? You decide, good Luck!!

  4. he will like it but i would suggest to wait until hes 3-4. its crowded and its easy to lose him. but if u want to anyway he will definetly enjoy it. i live in florida and went there like 5 months ago and my 8 year old lovved it so i guess your son will like it.

  5. ha, don't do it! Don't let them pressure you..

i took my 2 year old neice (she was almost 3)..it was 2 years ago in january we went to florida, and it was the worst experience of my life. we're waiting till my daughter is at least 5.

my poor lindsay cried the whole time, was scared of the characters, was scared of the dark rooms for the 'shows', got sick on the rides, and then we slept over and she cried for her bed and her puppy the whole night.

she screamed so much at the little mermaid show at MGM, we were asked to leave, she peed her pants at a ride in animal kingdom, and we spent $50 getting her a new outfit..she was grouchy, and rotten because she didn't want to be there...she was miserable, so we were miserable....i'm telling you, don't risk it.

  6. I took my daughter there when she was 2.  She had a great time.  Of course, she had been there every 6 months since she was 6 months old.  She was used to seeing the characters life sized.  But, what I noticed was the children freaking out at the size of the characters.  Kids are used to seeing them on TV.  Prepare your two year old beforehand, the characters are as tall as adults, not cartoon sized.   He will have a wonderful time.  The character breakfast is a wonderful way to start your trip.

  7. I wouldnt take them until about 4 or 5 because sometimes little ones wont understand whats goin on or they might get scared.

  8. You don't want to take a 2 year old to DisneyLand .  It is Walking ALL day, (can your toddler stay in a stroller for 8-10 hours?) This time of year it is VERY hot down there 115-120 sometimes, how does your toddler take to that kind of heat?  Are you prepared to pay a lot of money for water and juices because you can't bring your own into the park.  Yes the characters may be fun...then again they may scare him so you'll have a hot, sunburned toddler in a stroller for 8-10 hours...is that what YOU call fun?

  9. I think it is possible to have a good time with somebody that young, but given the cost I wouldn't do it. Single day park tickets are $66 a piece for adults. That is a lot of money to spend so he can look at characters.

  10. Personally, I don't think he'd enjoy as much as your friend makes it sound. I think he'll get bored quickly.

  11. I took my daughter for the first time when she was 3 and she had so much fun.We spent all day on the rides and she had all the characters sign her little autographs book and she wanted to go on a small world 100 times.we we're there all day  and watched the parade at night. She didn't get bored once a little tired but that was cool cause she slept like a rock that night.

  12. I've been a disney employee since my daughter was 1, she is now 3 and loves all the hard rides.  I just took my 2 year old cousin and he love it.

  13. i believe disney land would be hard to understand for a two year old. i would recommend something cheaper and simpler. the two year old wont remember anything about it a couple years from now.

  14. Being from southern california I love disneyland!  I took my son when he was 1 and he loved it.  We went on every ride in fantasy land with him riding on my lap.  All of the rides in that area of the park are for kids.  I went with my grandmother who is in a wheel chair and he rode on her lap while I pushed them.  I was exhausted at the end of the day but it was well worth it!  I definately think you guys will have a lot of fun!  Good luck

  15. My immediate family went to Disneyworld when my son was about 2.  Although he liked the parades and the souvenir shops he was frightened of most of the rides including "It's A Small World", which I actually thought he'd love, but on each of the rides he would get scared and say, "When can we get off?"  If your child likes park rides and doesn't get scared easily, he may enjoy it, otherwise I would be very selective about what rides you take him on so he remembers the park as a good thing.

  16. When I went to disneyland, my brother was two. He LOVED it. The characters were definitely his favorite and there are some cute rides that your son will very much enjoy.

    it sounds fun:)
