In My Own Words:

Bushfires happen often in the bushland of Australian, they can be lit by a firebug which is someone who lights fires for fun, or can happen naturallly. A bushfire is when a large area of bushland is caught on fire, it can be very violent and dangerous, especially if coming in contact with people/homes/animals. That's why we have the fire brigade :D
