  1. Sachin plays for his Records

    .

    .

    .

    Sehwag plays for his Team

  2. Well they do bat quite similary, as they both stay very still, poised and balanced up till delivery, and both play of the back foot really well, and are the best in the business at playing the cut shot, andattacking spinners.

However sachin also play really well of the front foot, and he plays teh pull shot and drives much better than sehwag. Moreover sachins technique is virtually flawless, unlike sehwags, whose technique has problems sometimes.

    sachin's experience also helps .

  3. sehwag generally uses cross bat shots while sachin dont uses

  4. When they are in the form both are very good in batting?

In addition they ae good bowlers too?

  5. this is not a q

  6. Sachin likes to pace his innings while SEHWAG likes to go all out against the bowlers.

  7. 80 % same but from the short collection and stroke play u can easily judge.

  8. sachin can attack and defence at same time , sehwag cant do it

  9. well there is more similarities than differences ,

differences can be sachin plays with front and backfoot , while sehwag is dangerous player thru backfut and looks nice in front foot .

but both have a similarity  which is rarer in a batsman ,

as they can see the ball from bowlers hand and get in position early than other players ,

but u can say sachin is better player of spn bowling than sehwag as sehwag is not able to pick spin of bowler  ,

that is why sehwag is not as effective against murli and warne as sachin  ,  because sachin plays them like batting against kids .

that is why sachin is able to hit century at perth in 19 years of age and  he is great batsman and unique in his class.

  10. Sachin- on the decline, plays with caution.

Sehwag- on the rise, plays full muscle.

EDIT- M A N, Sachin doesn't play for records, records take care of themselves & not every player can make "records", ain't easy because bowlers needs to be smashed around for that & Sachin did that for 20 years thats why he made & broke records.

  11. The best part about Sachin's batting is that he can balance his aggressive strokeplay with a strong defensive technique. This is the reason why he has earned respect of both the connoisseurs and the average Cricket fan. His brute stroke play and his silken timing make his batting a sight to behold. His hand eye coordination is such that once, a great cricketer commented that he could even bat with a stump. It is this aggression which has helped him to make a huge mark on the limited overs version of the game. In fact, he is the king of the One Day Game. When he is batting the entire nation comes to a halt and prays for his success. Crowds flock to watch him practice and autograph hunters are never too far. Sachin has gained immense popularity through out the world and its not just because of his unparalleled batting but also because of his humbleness and modesty. He lashed out on the offside, executed those pick up strokes, which had all but disappeared from his repertoire and made Murali, for once, appear mortal. His all-out aggression, the sprint between the wicket left even his younger colleagues breathless. It would be difficult not to get some similarly lyrical about a youngster who did not allow the legendary figure at the other end to completely overshadow him.

Sehwag is a player who often irritates and stuns students of batting. His technique is the very opposite of what the manual teaches. Every batsman has an initial movement which helps him shape up to face the ball. There are two methods to do this -- a front foot player, like Tendulkar, puts his front foot across and waits to judge the length of the ball. On judging it, he moves either of his feet and transfers his weight to the dominant foot. A back foot player, like Laxman, obviously, puts his back foot back and across. The rest follow analogously. Importantly, both these initial movements are across the stumps and towards the line of the off stump. Viru has a baffling technique -- he moves his back foot down the leg side. It is counter intuitive -- since it takes him away from the line of the ball on most occasions, forcing him to play away from his body.

  12. sehwag play most of his shots in the off side ......but sachin play all the sides

  13. The only difference is Sachin restricts himself hitting sixes at early stages of innings as Sehwag does..  Otherwise they have similarity in their batting style.

  15. Sachin is less of a risk taker than Sehwag. Also, Sachin can demonstrate many shots that Sehwag can only wonder about. Sehwag is more likely to throw away his wicket around sixties while Sachin is always hungry and even after scoring 200 runs he will be as calm as if he was on twenty runs. Sachin is Sachin and Sehwag is no Sachin. In fact, there won't be another Sachin in a long time.

  16. The word genius must never be used lightly, but it can be applied to Virender Sehwag's stroke-making ability. He is yet to earn the right to sit alongside Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara, or even Ricky Ponting, but he has an almost supernatural ability to sense a four. That's his genius.

Sehwag's batting is often associated with audacity, but I wonder if he sees it quite that way. The perception of risk in batting, or indeed in any sporting endeavour, is often directly proportionate to the sportsman's ability. Roger Federer sees winners in those deep shots that kiss the line, not risks. Similarly, Sehwag can see possibilities that don't exist for the less gifted. What appears a risk to many is for him an opportunity to create a boundary.and TENDULKER IS A BATSMAN WHO CAN SETTLE A INNIGS AND DISTROY THE MATCH FOR OTHER SIDE

  17. Sehwag is a little diluted Sachin. If Sachin is 100, Sehwag is 95.
