Can anyone explain MySpace trains to me?

I'm a Iayout site and trains seem really confusing. I know about bulletin proofing and everything, but can anyone explain the concept of the trains to me?

let's say "cupcakeadds" is a train -not sure if they are though-

You add your friend ID onto it and then people will be able to add you by adding your friend id onto it. Then they should have a code for you to copy and past into a bulletin, just that simple. But I don't think you should do that. Because all the add users that added you are just gonna keep reposting that train and then it's really not worth it. Just support for support with bigger layout sites where people will actually use your stuff :]
