Can anyone explain how to play s*x and the City trivia game - platinum edition?

Question

I've played it following the instructions, twice, and it was too easy, and ended in about 5 minutes. So I'm pretty sure I'm playing it wrong. Also, with the platinum edition, you have the platinum cards... what are they for? They are not mentioned in the instruction booklet at all. So can anyone explain how to play in a simple way lol? Thanks in advance.
