Question:

Can anyone explain pheromones to me?

From what I understand, when you're sexually attracted to someone you release something called pheromones so that the people around you know. Is that a chemical, or a hormone, or what?

Also, does pheromones increase the likeliness that someone will be attracted to you, or does it simply make them aware of your own attraction to them?

Lastly... is there any way I can prevent releasing pheromones or whatever because I don't want guys knowing I'm attracted to them.

I'm male if that matters. :x

  1. A pheromone is a chemical that triggers a natural behavioral response in another member of the same species. There are alarm pheromones, food trail pheromones, s*x pheromones, and many others that affect behavior or physiology.
