  1. Amazon will only let you sell things that it has registered on it. You have to get a sellers account and either put in the ISBN number of the product or a good description and search it. Then name your price and it goes on for 60 days or until sold. You are emailed when it has been sold and how to ship it ect. I find it a lot easier to use than ebay to be very honest as havent got a clue how to work ebay.

  2. Help and comparison all in a neat bundle.....

Amazon has better security for their auctions..

    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=auction...

Click this link, when it loads choose the first link Amazon.comAuctions and you'll see. You have to  be registered with Amazon just to get into the auction site......eBay is open. You can just "walk-in".

I can't tell you about selling items on Amazon....only member cards  I have is Blockbuster Video and a library card.

This I do know and you can peruse through my past questions, even type in search on Answers page the following in quotes, or look at results below for comparison.......I rarely see questions about Amazon Auctions and too many " can I trust eBay" questions. The results you will see for Amazon are none for within site but many from web results. Good luck looking through the 1000+ just within the site for eBay.....who knows what the web says......

As far as selling items......trust your own judgement and do the math on the expenses first. Is it worth selling those skis you had in high school on the internet for what 50 and pay shipping charges and give the fee to the host?....tough choices....Luck!

  3. Here's the quick overview on how to sell items on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/d...

One of the main differences is that Amazon won't cost you anything unless an item sells.  eBay will charge you a listing fee for every item even if the items never sell.  Both companies charge you a percentage of the final sale, but eBay's fee system is more complex.

Amazon must already sell a certain product before you can sell that product on Amazon yourself.

You should also try selling your stuff on MarketWall UK:

    http://marketwall.com/uk

MarketWall is completely free and you can sell stuff to people in your area so you won't have to worry about P&P.
