Can anyone explain these federalist papers to me on this website?

My high school summer homework is to read these articles, I know number 10 has something to do with getting rid of some type of treason or something within the U.S. gov't.. I would just like a better understanding of these two papers. I'm not really good at understanding writing like shakespeare, nathaniel Hawthorne and such...it confuses me utterly. thank you.
