Can anyone explain this eye prescription?

- 1.50 DS

- 1.00 - 0.25 X 065

which one is left and right? Its actually DS not OS in the prescription. I dont know what DS means, and the prescription is not really as clear. Thanks for the explanations.

  2. The DS means Dioptors sphere.

  3. Hey, just go to some optical shop and ask the guy for knowing what that prescription says. Even I don't understand what it says. There is not enough information.

  4. It's near impossible to tell from that. my presciption is nothing like that. The best advice I would say is to go back to whoever gave you that and ask for an explaination, as they really should have told you what it meant :)

  5. The right eye is always first on a prescription.

    -1.50 sphere is the right

    -1.00 -0.25 X 065 is the left.

    That 0.25 on the left is a very minor astgmatism correction , and the 065 is the axis.
