I haven't really grown up around a lot of religion, all I really have is a really strong faith in God that keeps me going, but I don't really understand about Jesus at all. I keep hearing that God and Jesus are the same, but I always saw him as a separate person like Moses. I also don't understand how dying on a cross is the same as dying for our sins. (I'm not trying to say it's wrong but I really don't understand but I want to) Then I don't get why he says that the only way to get to heaven is through him. It almost makes it sound like God is some evil guy who is unforgiving and has to have Jesus beg forgiveness for you if not you're screwed. I just really hoped someone here could help me understand what Jesus is all about cause for some reason for all of my life whenever people give me a gift, it's usually been a cross. I even get crosses from people who really aren't that religious and I don't know what to do with them all since I have a really strong faith in God but I really don't feel close to Jesus at all. Then when I pray to God, my prayers are always answered in some form or another, but nothing happens at all if I pray to Jesus (maybe because I lack faith in him, I don't know.) Anyway... if anyone can enlighten me on this, I'd appreciate it.

  1. If you read this article, it will answer all of your questions.

  2. Who is Jesus? This is a very complex question. One which ultimately you will have to decide. I can however tell you what I think. God knew that he must live among us to show us that we could live in love and peace without sin, any sin. How? Now this is where we get into the tricky part and also my theory. God had to separate into 2 distinct beings whereby allowing his deity to be here on earth and also on his heavenly throne. The problem was that Jesus, I think, had to be unaware of his true nature in order to get the message across. I mean, so what if God came to earth and lived sin free, he is God. So, I believe Jesus was unaware of who he really was up to a certain point in his life. So, now we have God the father, and God the son, what we need is the piece that brings them together and this the glue, if that makes sense, was the Holy Spirit. This is basically things I have recently thought about so more details need to be worked out, so this is an abbreviated version of my thoughts, but it's a start for me. Sorry if this makes no sense to you.

  3. Jesus is God.  God is a Godhead (Trinity), one God eternally existing in three Persons, the Father, the Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

    Jesus died on the cross for our sins, as payment for our sins.

    All the good deeds in the world done by you, can't pay for even one of your sins.

    Either Jesus pays for your sins, or you pay for them in eternal torment in h**l.  That is the choice before you.

    The truth is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal h**l is by believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

    Please pray now: "Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose from the dead. Thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)

  4. the life is in the blood. that is the thing that is going to help you understand "Jesus". every culture in all of history has a story of a savior. every religion has a story of a redeemer or prophet. every religion and culture in the history of the world sacrifices blood to pay for wrong.  however, there is not 1 single religion or culture  that has prophesied anything... except The Word called "bible". there are over 300 prophecies about The Saviour. This Saviour shed His blood to pay the penalty for wrong.. for all mankind. here is an example..

    there are over 300 prophecies to identify The Saviour of the world in The Word. to fulfill just 8 of them would be the equivelant of taking 1 silver dollar, marking it, dropping it in texas, covering the entire state of texas (2 feet deep with silver dollars) and having a stranger pull that 1 marked silver dollar out on the first try.

    we sinned a long time ago, and are seperated from The Lord. He is coming back. 4500 years of perfect prophecy says so. i would wager "texas" agrees. The Jesus you ask about, was called Yeshua in hebrew. He is not religion. He Is The Son Of The Living God.. and He Is coming back. yeshuaseedplanter@yahoo.com

  5. Act 2:22-36

    22 "Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.

    23 This man was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men,put him to death by nailing him to the cross.

    24 But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.

    25 David said about him:

    " 'I saw the Lord always before me.

    Because he is at my right hand,

    I will not be shaken.

    26 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;

    my body also will live in hope,

    27 because you will not abandon me to the grave,

    nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

    28 You have made known to me the paths of life;

    you will fill me with joy in your presence.'

    29 "Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day.

    30 But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

    31 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ,[c] that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.

    32 God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact.

    33 Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

    34 For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said,

    " 'The Lord said to my Lord:

    "Sit at my right hand

    35 until I make your enemies

    a footstool for your feet."

    36 "Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

  6.    What you need to do is to sit down and have a serious study of the Bible, you can't be hen pecking here and there for little bits of information,and I say this out of love,. Jehovah's Witnesses will be more than glad to offer you a free Bible study in the comfort of your home or yard under a tree. We have a biblical publication, titled "What The Bible Really Teaches".  I strongly recommend that you study with J.W.'s notice what Romans 10:2,13,14,15 and John 17:3 says.
