no thanks to Congress on the "bridge to nowhere"... (before campaigning as V.P.)

wasn't it in fact, Congress that withdrew the earmark and NOT Sarah Palin?

  1. no, she actually filliped flopped on that issue! she had asked for the earmark then turn around and say no.

  2. "Palin initially expressed support for the bridge and ran on a "build-the-bridge" platform[78][79] but later decided to use the bridge funds for other projects[78] because of rising cost estimates.[80] Despite the bridge currently being on hold, the Palin administration allocated tens of millions of dollars of federal funds to begin construction of the Gravina island road meant to link to the bridge.[80]

Palin made national news when she stopped work on the bridge."

  3. I guess it depends on what you consider "legitimate". I've read on a dozen sites from Yahoo to CNN that she opposed it.

  4. She said it in her acceptance speech, Dumbo... go back to your TV.

  5. its all over blogs...what more proof do you need?

  6. I don't think it exists, not in the way hat she intends it to. She wasn't against it until it went under scrutiny.

  7. The simple fact is Mrs. Palin was for the bridge before she was against it.  Just as she was for wind fall profit taxes on oil companies before she became the VP nominee.
