Can anyone find the meaning of my name?

my name is idali i've looked for the meaning of my name on google and yahoo and i can't find anything! help please it;s for an english assignment

For starters.. you don't tell us if this is your family name or your first name.  I don't see it at all in familysearch.org, which says no one with this last name has died in the US.  Almost all the usual websites for surname meanings, cater to English names.  If your family comes from a different part of the world, then you could ask google for Iranian last names, or whatever it might be.

you also can edit the question to include if you know the part of the world where your family/ ancestors come from.  

I don't want to upset your teacher, by the way..but the fact is that ALL last names don't have any meaning at all.. except the clerk wrote it down wrong, and that is what it became.
