What about Fremlin Walk? Thats Maidstone isn't it? Go into loads of the shops and ask for an application form, even if there isn't a job going. Then stop somewhere for lunch, fill them all out, pop them in a big envelope (along with a CV) and hand them all back in. Try EVERYWHERE even if it is a shop you 'don't like'. I work in Clarks and I would never have thought about working there, I wanted to work in Topshop or somewhere, but its now the best job ever because the people are great. Just try, you can always quit afterall.
