It's rare to actually find people worth talking to anymore.

The world is all about the earthly things that people would be deceived by them. Money, riches, fame, pleasure. It's all the usual but the most dominant things. People nowadays, instead of looking towards inner beauty is now looking on the outer beauty of a person. It's rare to find a person who is intelligent and at the same time humble. It's hard to find a person who has a pure mind. The world is now a gold mine for perverted people, rude and vain people. The world is now full of hypocrisy. The world is full of people who doesn't respect females as they should be respected.

These things happen yet a few only know.

Changes happen.

Your statement is an accurate generalisation of society today and how it always has been. Most people are reasonable and compassionate towards their fellow man but there always has been and there always will be the ruthless, selfish, self-seeking people who will always be materially better off than their more considerate caring fellow human beings. Mingle and enjoy the richness of the real beauty of your like-minded friends.

The main reason is that our hobbies, ways of thinking, etc...are controlled by mass media. A clear example is fashion, do you like 50's fashion? You don't, do you? Do you think if you saw the current fashion 10 years ago you would like it? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't! Why is this? Because we like what we are used to see on mass media, and if they show selfishness, violence, etc...It's what we "like".

All these thinks are not controlled just for fun, but they have economic purposes. Then we buy those things we "like", are violent so weapons are sold (American weapon industry is very powerful), we don't mind about the Third World but just want to be rich...

The guy who answer before I did is wrong, people have NOT been always this way. Of course there have always been ruthless and selfish people, but not as many as we see today.

That's where this great quote comes from, "There are over a billion people in this world and less than .01 are worth meeting."  Or something like that.  It's true.
