Things that are commonly found in houses ^^

you can just put in maybe 3 or four answers but all 3 elements and 4 compounds give you a privilege to have this question's best answer :P

    -silver, gold and platinum in jewellery (Ag, Au, Pt)

    -aluminium in cookware (Al)

    -copper wires (Cu)

    -chromium on taps (Cr)

    -carbon (C) as graphite in pencils and in diamonds

    Compounds:

    -water (H2O)

    -common salt (NaCl)

    -sodium bicarbonate in baking soda (NaHCO3)

    -acetic acid in vinegar (CH3COOH)

    -sodium hypochlorite in bleach (NaClO)

    -silicon dioxide in your kids' sand box (SiO2)

    -butane in cigarette lighters (C4H10)

    -methane as natural gas in your boiler or gas hob (CH4)

    -titanium dioxide as whitener in paint (TiO2)
