Can anyone give me a appraiser for 2 violins I have. I live in the Houston Area.?

One of the violins is quite old and has a wooden case in the shape of a coffin. lst National institue of Allied Arts made in Germany is inside the instrument. The second violin has Della Costu 0pietroy Trevise 1608 L A Suden on the inside. ANy help would be appreciated.

ask a pro at a local music store or check out ebay i am not really sure but i think that the 1608 would be valuable because its an antique . should be worth alot .. good luck ....hope i helped :):):)

Hi Nora. (Neighbor)...  I live in Deer Park :)   I know nothing about violins but I do have experience with instruments - particularly vintage professional flutes from the US and Paris.   Anyone here can tell you anything... but I have a suggestion for the first thing you should do if you have not already.   In Google or another search engine..  type in the names of your violins; research one at a time, of course.   If your instruments are  of any significant value,  it won't take you long to find out... because all that are...  are well known.   I am sure something will come up but if not ... or in addition too... here in the Houston area is a violin company,  Lisle Violins.  Has been in business for 30 or even more years.   They will be able to tell you something about your instruments and set you in the right direction if you are needing to sell them.  Hope I was able to help.   (This weather is crazy!!  Don't you think??? )  :))
