Can anyone give me a good example of a reflection?

I need to reflect on what went well or bad in the lab experiments we did, I was told my reflections were more descriptive. Can anyone give me an example of a good reflection so I know if I'm on the right lines?

This is easy ...  you are being told you describe too much of what was there: where, who, what equipment you used - and not enough about the purpose .....a simple way to work out how to answer is to just focus on what a reflection really is: what you see in a mirror or still water ..... it is the image that is exact of the original .....do you like what you see or not?  A reflection is not a long drawn out thing - it's just there - instantly you look at it.  Therefore a reflection (of thought) is exactly that .... you are being asked to think back on the activity and decide what it actually was about, was the approach to it good or bad, were the results what you were looking for - yes no..... do you think the approach could be changed? could it be improved on - how?.... make a decision about the situation and describe why - good or bad - and describe  what you would do the same or change if you were to do it again ..... see - reflective thinking!
