Question:

Can anyone give me a good summary of whats happened to the u.s in the 2008 olympics?

i have to write a article for my newspaper at school. i just need to know how many medals we have won. what we have won them in. who won them. anything else that might sound important.

Well right now USA has about 25 medals then in second is China with 23 medals. China has 14 gold medals which is the most out of all the teams. The girls and guys gymnastics team both got a medal, the guys got bronze and the girls got silver, China got gold in both teams. Micheal Phelps has now won 11 gold medals, he won 5 gold medals in Bejing. Dallhauser and Rogers are now 2-1 in volleyball and May and Walsh are 3-0 so far. The basketball team has won every game by over 30 points. So far U.S.A has been dominating in medals,but China is dominating in most of the sports. I hope this helps you a little

It's been five days, and we've already won 29 medals. The top three USA athletes are: Alicia Sacramone, Lisa Leslie, and Cat Osterman. Alicia Sacramone for gymnastics, Lisa Leslie for basketball, and Cat Osterman for softball. Altogether we have won 10 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 11 bronze medals.

Micheal phelps is aiming for 8 gold medals and has about 4? so far. (he is in 8 races). when he reachs ten (including the last olympics) he will have to most gold medals ever.

Other: his dad left him when he was 8 :( but he stepdad is super supportive) and his stepfather is helping organize some swim team.

Jason Lezak owned in the last swimming relay of the men's final by catching the french.. who said that tey were going to beat the americans.

Also a guy from africa got the first medal for his country in kyaking!!! * (that doesn't happen very often!)

they have been OWNED left right and center, except maybe in the waters where they use Unfair swim suits they helps swimmer float better, as for the US MEDIA, (read carefully, i meant the media, not the US-TEAM) for being SORE LOSERS whenever china beats them to the gold.
