  1. That list could be pretty long!  Questions that I thought of when reading yours was...what are your daily tasks at circle time?  Do you use themes?  Answers to that will help to narrow down what type of songs you would use.  Searching online...preschool songs... will give you many many many to choose from.  If you use themes this will narrow it down as well.

    I like to do an alphabet, number, shape/color, theme related, and nursery rhyme song each morning.  The more involved the children are with the song the better.

    I like to vary the songs/chants routinely.  Here are some that can get  you started.  If you wish for more send me an email.  

    The Consonant Tree

    Tune:  Mulberry Bush

    (Hide flash cards with the different letters around the room. Then send one child to find the letter you sing about.)

    Letter/Sound Review:  Provide each child with two stick puppets of the feature letter:  One uppercase and one lowercase.

    Groovin’ Around Letters:  Keep large cutouts of alphabet letters handy.  Lay a familiar letter in the center of the circle.  Sing the provided song twice, substituting a desired action and the appropriate letter and its sound.  When possible, match the action to the letter and its sound.  For example tiptoe around T, hop around H, dance around D, etc.

  4. One song my children love is wiggely woo, they also like to sing wheels on the bus and the actions. (these children are 3 and under) We also sing colours of the rainbow, and one they all love at the moment due to the cold wintery weather, rain, rain go away or its raining its pouring.
