  1. hoghead was right.  ur at the right site start asking and get answers

  2. Depending on what you are exactly looking for you can look at several sites on green frog productions web site they have a link that will take you to about 30 or more rail web sites. They are the leader in railroad entertainment from videos and DVDs to rail links about several railroads and museums

Or you can look at different sites alone:

    unionpacific.com

    bnsf.com

    csx.com

    kansascitysouthern.com

    norfolksouthern.com

These are just a few you can look at. Hope this helps you.

I have been to these sites and they are interesting to me and I learned alot from them.

  3. You are already at the right website.  Ask questions, get answers.

Yeah, I checked these links, and the information isn't all correct.  If you want rail answers, ask a rail.

  4. Hi! I found this website a while back:

    http://www.alkrug.vcn.com/rrfacts/signal...

I hope this will help you get started.

Lots of companies make RR signal equipment. Try this:

    http://gsee.sdf-us.org/signals/siglinks/...

Railroad safety info is available here:

    http://www.oli.org/

As a bicycling instructor, I teach others cyclists to never settle for anything less than ninety degrees to the rails when crossing railroad spur tracks that cross the road at an odd angle. This prevents the rails from zinging your bike out from under you.

    Safe miles to you,

    cycbercerdo

(not a rail fanatic, but definately an admirer of the RR industry.)
