Firstly, I would like to introduce you our organization, SAO SARY FOUNDATION (SSF) is a nonprofit, nongovernmental, nonpolitical, and impartial organization working to help poorest of the poor and other vulnerable families in the Cambodia’s poorest communities to ensure they can care for their children in the home and avoiding their children from any forms of violence, exploitations and abuse and especially avoiding institutionalize (Avoiding orphanage care) through Child Educational Sponsorship, Building Sustainable Livelihood, and Community Building Programs. Currently, we provide services to about 150 orphans and other vulnerable children, 30 per cent of their families and communities. We work to ensure the children especially underage girls (13-18 years) whom living with those impoverished families and communities  can access state schools properly through our Child Educational Sponsorship Program even their families could not effort or intend to do in the meantime. For more information, you may get from www.ssfcambodia.org/ovc.php.  Additionally, 30% of those sponsored children’s families are able to support by us to setup and run various small businesses in their communities through our Family AID Program (FAP) and  other 60 poorest of the poor and vulnerable families in target areas we work with they formed into three self help groups (SHGs) in their villages - you may get detail, www.ssfcambodia.org/familyaid.php and www.ssfcambodia.org/cbp.php. The small businesses opportunity that we are supported recently are; Grocery Selling for disable household head especially the widow household heads affect by HIV/AIDS, animal and poultries rearing, cupcake making, vegetables gardening with non chemical fertilizers use, and other small businesses that possible to exchange among their communities.

Even SSF handles such big deals to those impoverished families and their children presently but our services still limit number of beneficiaries while the extreme needs of the poor and vulnerable in Cambodia to fight for survival are far from satisfied, you can take pride in the knowledge that together, in 2008, we continue to make a real impact on the lives of those very poor and the most vulnerable. Our third fiscal year will be starting from July 2008, We look for donors!
