Can anyone give me advise on fishing in puerto vallarta?

im going in late may and i was wondering if anyone knows about how the fising is. also some references would be nice

We were rounding the cape "Cabos Corrientes at the entrance to Banderas bay and caught a beauty of a Dorado(Mahi Mahi) and two tuna all within 10 minutes.

What you may want to do ,if you are in no rush is to go to the pier and see what they are bringing in and you will also get a chance to see.  Boats are equipped to handle 6 and some 8 people and is a flat rare that you should bargain for at this time of year.  $300.00 to $400.00 for a six hour excursion.

The fishing should be good, in may you can usually find, Amberjack, Grouper, Jack Crevalle, Red Snapper, Tuna.

If you are going deep sea fishing be prepared to catch just about anything it is a blast.  hire a boat and a guide they will take you to where the big ones are

minimize the amount of time the fish is outta water and contact with foreign surface or objects. keep hands moistened or wear wet cloth gloves. This will diminish the damage to the mucous layer of the fish skin, which protects it from disease and infection. and keep your fingures awaye from the  gills and eyes.
