  1. whoaa :S people are crazy! It is not expensive at all, and there are alot of places that sell efes (standard turkish beer) in 1.5 litres/3 pints for about 3,5 lira so not much at all. If you would like something stronger, go for Raki (turkish alcohol drink) it's clear but tends to come with water to make it a cloudy, to "weaken it" as it is strong.

On food, it depends where you go, say in ölü deniz (fethiye) the further away from beach, the better price it is, but either way not expensive.

  2. Beer £2 upwards, spirits and wine £4 upwards, food from £3 for a kebab £6 upwards for a chicken meal ,£9 steak meal.Turkish food tasty and reasonable .Depends what and where you eat,all prices displayed outside. It's not as cheap as it used to be!

I was there in June, didn't have one bad meal, shops reasonable for shoes, bags & clothes, you can get the lovely people to drop their prices!

  3. A pint of beer (Efes) from £1.50-£4 depending on the place.

A bottle of wine (supermarket price) from £2-£20 (drinkable stuff around £4-£5), in a restaurant from £10 upwards.

Basic food (snack and soft drink) £2. A three course meal in a reasonably good restaurant, including a few drinks £8 upwards.

Generally things are cheap so long as you eat and drink local products though fish tends to be expensive.

  4. Depends how much you have got. If you only have a couple of British pounds you won't get much food and hardly any beer.

  5. I was there last year, and if it aint changed much its like some of the cheaper parts of the uk, and if you look around even cheaper. (pints just short of £2). You pay less for a typical meal but then the food is comparable with a greasy spoon so its probably much the same in quality terms.

The cheap stuff is the usual knock off rubbish, anything else is the same price as here.

  6. 2,40 YTL to the pound. You can get breakfast for 5.00 YTL.

It's cheap as chips compared to the EU.

  7. I was there a year ago,  but i can do it in the prices i know from then a loaf of fresh hot bread came to about 35 cents American , and  a huge Turkish burrito ( lol dont remember the name) ran about 2.50    and gas \was about 2.50 a liter.   so now since there are two dollar ( approx)  to a pound,) then just half it, and you have the approx  pounds  for a year ago.  but thats the best i can do ..  LOL   it was not expensive, and i loved it,  i had a great time ( for the most part)  i have been several times, so you know it was not bad ,

    GOOD LUCK
