  1. How about a party with a 1940's theme? You could have "Big Band" music (Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington etc.) Have a couple of girls dress up like the "Andrews Sisters" (google em) and lip sinc to "The Boogy Woogy Bugilboy of Company B" maybe have everyone wear clothes and hair styles from the 40's.

  2. Try and find out what this person liked to do back when he/she was in their twenties...  Then, try to recreate some of those experiences!!

Maybe, take them to their favorite restaurant...

Invite a bunch of their old friends...

Try to get the "WHOLE" family together for this... it's not every day that someone has their 75th Birthday!!

  3. .I am a big history buff and I think adding a slide show sort of like the old show "This is your life" would be nice. Include things like  poplular songs, world events, economy(say the price of a car, loaf of bread, house,) for the year they were born, special dates like when they were married, gave birth etc....have others include pictures and tidbits. Older people love to reminisce.
