  1. The horrendous prices of houses and rentals in Dublin is leading to the happy situation that snobbery has had to start disappearing. You live where you can afford to rent. This makes for a mix of people in all areas.

That said, I'm a fan of the sea, so Raheny, Baldoyle, Sutton or Howth would be my choices, as I was brought up there.

  2. Snobbery doesnt come into it. Personally  I would look at affordablity first and probably close to city centre. But if you want county yes I would go with northside close to the coast or if u want to be close to the mountains I would recommend Stepaside, nice village in the foothills and close to Wicklow with decent apartment prices. If you dont mind a commute to the city I would actually head as far south as Greystones or north to Lusk. Dont go west of the city, there are nice areas but traffic can be terrible.

  3. Best place to live in Dublin is actually in the city, but if you want to live outside, Skerries, Portmarnock, Howth are nice enough and cheaper than the south side

  4. Skerries would be my first choice then Malahide and then Portmarnock.

All of theese are beside the seaside......."beside the see"

  5. Well if I had loads of money I would live in Dalkey or Killiney. However there are some nice places northside as well such as Portmarnock, Sutton and Howth. All near the sea. It depends what you are looking for really.

  6. Well it depends on your budget. If you have plenty of money and want to live iin an upper class area here are some:

Malahide, Howth, Clontarf, Sutton, Skerries, Blackrock, Foxrock, Dun Laoghaire, Dalkey and Killiney.

Nice places in a middle class society are: Lucan, Swords. Most places are within the postcode and not classed as county Dublin.

Places to avoid living in Dublin are: Clondalkin, Ballyfermot, Palmerstown, Coolock, Darndale, Killester, Inner city, Tallaght, Finglas, Beaumont,

There are more but they are most obvious ones. Hope that helps.

  7. Malahide, Lusk,

  8. malahide, howth portmarnock, sutton, baldoyle stay northside people are alot nicer very s****. in the nice areas of the southside!
