If it helps it has a manual transmission and 8 cylinders (gas is not a problem just the maintenance)

  1. I personally think that is high, but I would check Kelley Blue Book Value to be sure...Also depends if it has any extras. Hope this helps..

  2. I would lean toward no, simply because of the mileage on it.

KBB retail value (which is the highest) is about $8900.  Trade in value (the lowest) is about $5000 in perfect condition.

With that many miles, you're not going to get a fair amount of use out of it before it needs work or dies.  If you've got anything more than about a 3-year loan, you're going to end up upside down on it in the end.

  3. In my opinion, that is way overpriced for a 8 year old car with almost 100,000 miles on it.

  4. You are definitely over paying! I am currently selling my 2005 Ford Mustang GT with 23,000 miles for $18,500. Use edmunds.com and look up True Market Value (TMV). It will give you actualized figures of what other people have paid for a car similar to what you're looking at. Trust me, a 2001 Ford Mustang with that mileage would go anywhere between $3,000-6,000 (max) privately.

  5. I'll give it a positive.  It would be nice if the seller has all the service records and a plus if it hasn't been smoked in. The GT does hold it value a lot better than the six's.

  6. Suggested retail from a dealership is about $8,930, so it's a little overpriced. You didn't say whether this was from a dealership or a private sale so I gave the dealer price. Hope that helps. I have a 2004 and she purrs...
