  1. original source are vegan

  2. Beauty Without Cruelty is good for cosmetics, Jason is good for body wash, shampoo, etc and Suma also makes shampoo's, etc and even food.

  3. Would you take a drug that was going to save your life if it was tested on an animal. I think you would.

So get over it. Eat a steak and enjoy life.

  4. Body Shop and Lush do not test on animals and have no animal ingredients in their stuff..also a lot if not all of the Simple stuff doesn't contain animal ingredients or some of Original Sources stuff. Also Kingfisher toothpaste hasn't been tested on animals and doesn't contain any animal ingredients..just check the back of them and it should tell you..hope i've helped

  5. Clarks, Barratts and Dolcis sell shoes which are not tested on animals. Oh, wait- a lot are made from animals. Er.....

  6. Go to  WWW.BUAV.ORG,they have a host of companies who comply with their non-cruelty programme. Almost anything that carries the Co-Op's own brand, (from bleach to air freshener) will carry the little rabbit logo, endorsed by the Buav.

To be fair, the Co-op was one of the first supermarkets to go cruelty-free.

  7. see if you can access this site.

    www.uncaged.co.uk/crueltyfree.htm

  8. http://search.caringconsumer.com/

I love this site has info on list that show companies that do and dont test on animals

  9. The Body Shop is one but steer clear of anything from Proctor & Gamble. xx

  10. I wonder if the first two answerers would be quite so nonchalant about it if they'd actually taken the time to see what goes on..

Anyway, the BUAV have a leaflet called 'The Little Book of Cruelty Free'.. you just enter your address and they will send it to you, it's basically a list of all the companies who have proved that their products are cruelty-free. Hope that helps ;)

  11. The Body Shop

  12. The Lush chainstores are excellent. They don't test on animals, get any 3rd party to do it or buy from suppliers who test on animals. All their products are vegetarian and they make a lot of vegan products too. All their products are hand made in the UK too.

Avon don't test their products or ingredients on animals and don't get 3rd parties to do it either. Avon also funds research into alternatives to animal testing.

Jason products are approved by BUAV.

I use Kingfisher toothpaste. They don't test on animals either.

Tesco have brought out a range of household, toiletries and cosmetic goods like dishwasher powder and face washes that aren't tested on animals. Be careful to read the label because some of their products  are tested on them.

Unless the package of a product specifically says it's not tested on animals it's best to avoid it like the plague. Some companies test the ingredients on animals but the not final product so be aware of that if the label says that the product isn't tested on animals because the ingredients may well have been.

You'll want to be aware of companies that DO test on animals too who make a range of products both toiletries and food like Proctor and Gamble who make shampoos and also Pringles and Hellman's mayonnaise among other things that you may not expect.

Other than that you may want to do a bit of research on Google into the companies that don't use animal testing.

The Body Shop is owned by L'Oriel who test on animals so you'll want to avoid it.

  15. I'm pretty sure that JASON don't test on animals. Just look for the vegetarian/vegan society logo on products if you want to be really safe.

  16. Faith in Nature, vegan hair and bodycare products widely available in health food shops.
