Can anyone give me music reccomendations with a strong cello influence? ?

Check out Rasputina.  All cello there.  Interesting band.

Not sure why its in beer and wine, but the only cello band I know of is Apocalyptica.  They're definitely a metal cello band -- first album was metallica covers in 4 cellos.

Mstislav Rostropovich Is the best cellist of all time, just amazing. He is my insperation. =]

Take a look into his rendition of Mark O'Conner's "Appalachia Waltz"

Anything Slavic, too - such as Dvorak will always have strong cello influences

I second the Rasputina, that was Zoe's previous band..   I suggest the first album though (pre-Zoe), Thanks for the Ether.  Best Cello work,  second would be Frustration Plantation.

Also Murder By Death is a great band with alot of cello  (they sound nothing like the name suggests). "Who will remain and what will be left of them?" is a great album.
