  1. I can't but I know some will try. When they do, please notice the lack of specificity, the generalizations, and the emphasis on FEELINGS instead of any policy that has more than a snowball's chance in he!! of ever being implemented.

  2. One reason: the move from carbon-based energy toward wind, solar and biofuels. Not only will this help with high energy costs, it will create a new class of jobs for manufacturers, distributors, installers, sales people.

And it will help reduce carbon emissions that continue to harm the environment.

Obama's opponent wants to increase production of carbon-based energy with more drilling for oil - in the ocean, no less. In the past two days we have seen gasoline prices rise because of fear that oil platforms in the Gulf will have problems with Hurricane Gustav. So, why do we want to put MORE oil platforms in the Gulf.

  3. Because everything will be cupcakes and sunshine.

  4. Not a good reason but:

If they want to destroy America.

  5. I would say because he wants you to inflate your tires. Even though gas stations make much more profit on air to fill your tires, than gas to fill your tanks.

  6. He will move our country forward to a better future...

...and not backwards towards the last 8 years.

(most thumbs down, because it's the harsh truth for the McCainiacs)

  7. ok .. I am not an american... But an american pointed this out to me...

you have the Obama Biden team....

Obama has an IQ that is between 140 and 148... so he's intelligent and Biden has experience... and is still relatively young ...

McCain has experience BUT has placed forward as his running mate a woman who does not know what the role of the vice president is .. and is really only a Big Country Town Mayor.

If Obama is elected and something happens to him ( heaven forbid ) you will be left with a man of many decades experience....

if McCain is elected and something happens to him ( ALSO heaven forbid) you will be left with a BIG COUNTRY TOWN MAYOR running the country....

Fast forward to 2 minutes 55 seconds.  She says that she doesn't even know what the vice president DOES!!!

    NOW THAT'S SCAREY .....

ARE you prepared NOT to vote for Obama ?

EDIT... i just thought i should state that I am fully aware that maybe many americans will think I have no right to comment re your elections... the thing is ..who ever you guys elect .. will be more or less the leader of the western world and THAT affects us .... so that is why I do have an interest.

  8. No, but I can give a few reasons not to vote for him:

He has done nothing for Illinois since becoming senator.

He voted against the "born alive" act.  While I understand how he supports a woman's right to "choose", when a baby is born alive it deserves medical attention.

He has been absent for many of the votes.

He has been proven a liar by saying he never heard any of his pastor's hate speech.  If he was a member of that church for 20 years either he wasn't in attendance or he didn't pay attention to what his pastor was saying.

He is a great speaker, but after listening to his acceptance speech I saw that he really has nothing to say.

    GO MCCAIN!

  9. I can give you MANY. However, if you are a woman, I will leave you with this: McCain in 72. According to the history books, McCain stands a pretty good shot of dying in office. McCain is anti-abortion in most instances. There are 3 supreme court justices who are older than dirt and who, most likely, will retire. They will be replaced by the next admin. 1 justice who is conservative could overturn roe v wade. What is even more concerning is that, if McCain passes away, Palin is even more anti-abortion than McCain. She believes that there is NO justification for any abortion ever....even if the life of the mother is in jeopardy. As a woman, I cannot vote to put these people into power.

  10. yes to promote socialism in our country.

  11. I can sure give you 525 to 1 BETTER reasons to keep the correct perspective: That Congress, collectively, has the power to all but silence the President, though the president has no reciprocal power.

That being the case, doesn't it feel like you just woke up from dreaming you were brushing your teeth and then realized you hadn't even started, yet?

That always leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

    ...

  12. No, I'm sorry.  I can't.

  13. The consequences of having Sen John McCain as US president.

If you don't know what they are, watch CNN, MS-NBC, C-Span, NPR, Yahoo news, or listen to NPR or the BBC on the radio, Read any national newspaper or magazine.

Of course you can also find news outlets will tell you how great everything is and what a superb job this administration is doing.

The trick is to listen to the actual facts, not the commentaries, then make up your own mind whether this is the nation you want for yourself and for the future.

  14. He is motivated to help America make progress with the environment, health care and tax systems and, depending on your views of the war in Iraq, his want to bring the soldiers home from Iraq might also be a plus.

In addition, he's far more likely to live through the presidency.

  15. No. Obama has fake accomplishments and has no real stand on issues.

To advance Obama's career, a Democrat leader put Obama's name on all high profile bills just so he could say he has accomplishments.

From the article: Barack Obama and Me

"Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills. .. During his seventh and final year in the state Senate, Obama's stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law — including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced. ...

It was a stunning achievement that started him on the path of national politics — and he couldn't have done it without Jones. ... Before Obama ran for U.S. Senate in 2004, he was virtually unknown even in his own state. Polls showed fewer than 20 percent of Illinois voters had ever heard of Barack Obama."

  16. HE IS A BLACK GUY AND WE NEVER HAD A BLACK PRESIDENT BEFORE

  17. Because we want to see America crumble? thats the only reason I can see.

  18. You have nothing else to do on Nov 4 ?

If you like quick fixes, like a chocolate shake, a candy bar, a one night stand, then the elixir is B. Obama.  He'll make you feel good, until you see your first paycheck under his administration, and then you'll have that post shake/candy/hookup hangover and you can't WAIT til Nov 2012.

  19. Because the alternative is McCain.

  20. I'll just mention health care for now.

America has never experienced national run health care.

I know it sounds scarely - but I don't know of a country that has imposed this system and then reversed it - not ever!!. You'll see it's not as scarely as you think, and once you have it, you'll never want it to disappear - ever!. It's much fairer and affordable to everyone.

I know a major party tried to reverse it in Australia once and the party proposing the elimination of it lost the election solely on that issue - even though they were favored to win.
