  1. i started with zecco.....still use it, still very happy. only ones with no fee for stock trades, and no minumums. all the others will charge you fees for trading, but compare and see for yourself!

  2. I never actually used Zecco, but I've always been suspicious of them.  I have a friend that really hates them.  In fact, he wrote a whole blog entry about how he will never fall for Zecco's "bait and switch" tactics again.  Here's the article he wrote: http://investorandtrader.blogspot.com/20...

    Other things that you have to keep in mind about Zecco is that their 10 free trades a month deal requires a minimum deposit of at least $2,500.  However, what frustrates me the most is that their customer service has been rated as the worst in the industry and their website is not so beginner-friendly either.  Well, I guess you get what you pay for.

    I would recommend that you reconsider and look into other discount online brokerage firms.  I currently use Firstrade ( http://www.firstrade.com/ ).  They're cheaper than big name brokers like Etrade, Ameritrade, Schwab, and Scottrade.  I've had no problem with them so far.  Their customer service is good and they're website is very easy to use.  You should have a look at them.

  3. Zecco was rated last by Barron's this year. E-Trade was in the middle of the pack.

    Best trading brokers;

    TradeStation

    ThinkOrSwim (my favorite)

    InteractiveBrokers (poor service, good pricing)

    If you just trade on occassion, don't need a lot of support;

    Scottrade
