  1. There are different ways to "get there", however most either take a lot of money, or just being at the right place, at the right time. I have raced motocross and professional factory BMX and the way I got noticed was by getting hole-shots. I focused on the start and keeping my elbows out and keep in mind "I am not there to make friends, I am there to race/win". Everyone has their own ideas, however it's hard to argue with logic. Sponsors and teams want riders to lead main events for camera time, so even if you fade back after the first few laps, you might still get noticed as a rising racer.

Without the money it takes to run a season including the maintenance, travel expanses, lodging, and food, it makes it next to impossible to get that big break. Try to get some local sponsors to help you on your quest to become a full time racer and I wish you the best of luck!

  2. just practice the things your not so good at.....watch other riders hit things that your not so good at and then encorperate what they do into your style.....you can also watch dvds of races and se what the do around the tracks and just try to learn from them......hope this helps and good luck with your race season

  3. Practice makes perfect.  It takes many years to get really good on a bike.  Stay fit, eat healthy, watch and learn from others and ride and ride some more.
