  2. Well,

    Here are some facts,

Elizabeth was Queen from 1558-1603, She was born on 7 September 1553 and died on 23 March 1603.

She was called the Virgin Queen, her parents were Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. She defeated the Spanish Armada.

Sorry that's all but I hope that helped you

  3. I think that Philip wanted to Mary Elizabeth (or at least have his cousin marry her ) as Phil did not want Mary Queen of Scots(who at the time was married to the king of France) to inherit after Mary I died.

  4. Elizabeth I of England and Philip II of Spain were both strong and determined monarchs to each their own ways of ruling. Elizabeth I was a Conservative Protestant and Philip II was a Catholic, which meant they were enemies.

You'll be able to compare and contract these two famous monarchs if you read more about their foreign policies, religious views/interests and their legacy.

  5. For one thing, King Philip was a Catholic and ruled Spain, a predominantly Catholic nation. Elizabeth was a Protestant and refused to marry Philip for fear that he would userp her power and her throne. Philip had been married to Elizabeth's older sister Mary and together they massacred thousands of Englands protestants. Like Mary, Philip was a religious fanatic while Elizabeth was a moderate. She held true to her faith but believed that the people of England should be able to practice their religion peacefully as long as they maintained their allegiance to the crown.
