Hi me and my bf are going to cabo mexico in august, and I just had a few questions.. first of all since we are going in august will it be like VERY hot? I have looked up weather in cabo online and it says it will be very hot, will it be unbearably hot? And also I heard hurricanes and storms may be happening around that time? I am not sure if I want still want to go because I was looking for a nice sunny beachy trip, will it not be as sunny in august? And also me and my bf are looking to stay in RIU palace can anyone who has been there tell me how their exerience in riu palace was?

And also since we are going for our anniversary I wanted to know is there anyway for couples to have a beach front anniversary dinner?

What are the hottest spots to go to for young couples? Since we are in our early twenties we want to do hip and fun activities there.

And also can we swim in any of the beaches? I have been looking them up and it keeps saying that the beaches are not safe to swim in.

  1. Hola.  I live down here for most of the year.  AND yes it does get very very hot here in August.  Sometimes unbearably.  For some reason, the californians don't seem to mind, but us canadians melt!  lol  Um so, yes, and there is a chance for hurricanes.  I had thought this year due to 'la nina' we wouldn't see as many but it turns out that the ocean is warming up and that is not a good thing.  So YES there is a chance you could get here and see a hurricane.   But, please don't think Katrina.  We don't see that kind of devestation....rarely.  It is usually only a inconvenience for a day or two.  All the resorts have plans in place to deal.

Riu Palace is a great place to go if you are coming to Cabo for the first time.   Specially if you are a young couple and want to nightclub hop and do water activities and tour things.

For your anniversary dinner, I would recommend going on the sunset cruise ship called Cabo Rey.   Either that or have dinner at DiGeorgios (I think its called Sunset Mona Lisas now).  Very romantic and fantastic views!

Nightclubs are insane.  Cabo Wabo, El Squid Roe, Gigglin Marlin, the Zoo....dancing and fun.

Beaches here in Cabo can be a bit rough at some times during the year, but not all are bad.  The one where the Riu is and along towards the marina (called Medano) is good.  Also we have a couple snorkeling bays called Chileno and Santa Maria...most of the tour groups go there.   Anything on the pacific side, or with a deep incline from hurricane damage can have undertows and rouge waves....Most of the resorts on the beaches will post warnings.

    Have a great time!
