I am currently in college almost finished with my teaching degree. However, I have realized that being a teacher would be great....I feel that I can serve children in another way other than in the "classroom" and make more money. So I am interested in also pursueing a career in Occupational Therapy. My college does not offer the MBA program and being a mother of two would be difficult to attend any of the 6 Texas colleges that happen to offer it. Would any of the online programs be beneficial?

  2. No.  Online programs will not be beneficial.  Getting an MBA from an online university will not help you get jobs.  Most Online Universities are  For Profit Corporations that accept nearly anyone.  They cost more than respectable public universities.  Employers do not respect degrees from these schools -- and a degree from one of these schools may actually make it more difficult for you to get a good job.

In my opinion, an MBA from an unranked program does little more for you than a BS in Business.  An MBA from one of these For Profit online programs actually decreases your earning power.
