Question:

Can anyone give me the answer to this please, Rangers fans..?

I have asked this before but still don't know the reason/s...

Okay, I visited Ibrox with a pal with a spare ticket for Rangers v Stuttgart in the Champs League in 2003 (I think)

Supported Rangers obviously with them being a Scottish side yet after about 20mins, an Ibrox steward 'told me' to remove my Saltire Scotland cap as I was causing offence to others, I done what he said to save any hassle but can someone please tell me what 'offence' was being caused?? Is it any wonder so few Scotland flags make it to Rangers games when this is happening?

Do Rangers fans now refuse to wear the top as it has a small saltire on the back?!

And, before any buffoon acuses me of being a Celtic fan, I am not, I support Raith Rovers, Scotland and any Scottish side in a European game (except when Dunfermline were humbled by a Swedish diddy team last year!)

  1. Rangers have Scotland flags on some tops. So this doesn't add up.

I was at that game BTW one of the best atmosphere I've ever experienced & I've been to a lot of games. We were down 1-0 came back & won 2-1 Peter Lovenpants scored the winner. Place was BOUNCING. Stuttgart fans were brilliant too.

  2. Your lying! Midden.

  3. poppycock !!!

  4. And it has took you 5 years to complain of this!!!

  5. can you please state stand &seat numbers please ?midden

  6. I have never heard of a similar incident, if that's what happened then its out of order.  Rangers are a Scottish club, and I am a proud Scotsman.  You should have made more of it.  I have never witnessed anyone being told off or otherwise for wearing anything connected with Scotland in all the time I have been going to Ibrox.

Maybe if you never posted questions accussing every Rangers fan of being a hooligan or made predictions that Celtic would wipe the floor with Rangers you would not be accused of supporting them ?

  7. LMAO @ Erra....you don't know how right you are there ..my hubby works for the rival company :-) he was offered a good job with rock steady but it's mainly at Ibrox...can you imagine him? heehee

  8. well if it didn't sink in to your thick skull the last time its never going to mate .........  your lot are as bad as the aberdeen lot at scotland games .....think its your east coast paranoia  about people from the west

  9. and here we hear from Rangers in the press that they do everything to squash bigotry, well i suppose if we all adhere to Rangers dress code that might work...

i take it theyl push for a team GB for the Olympics now..?

none of that will be welcome at firhill later this month

  10. maybe your head was to big for the cap and the steward didn't want you too look stupid

  11. Not got a clue, certainly doesn't offend me and cant imagine it doing so to other Rangers fans. Maybe the steward sniffed you out as a Raith fan and decided to give you a hard time cause you took up a seat his mate could've had?

  12. rock steady security guards arent the brightest bunch at times.

  13. Are you sure the steward wasn't english lol

I have never heard of that before in my life.I have seen people scotland tops and not been told off for it at Ibrox.

I really wish I could explain it too you but I can't,sorry.

  14. honestly i don't know..when we go to the games we take a rangers flag and a saltire..same as we took to manchester..i don't have any problem what so ever with the saltire..quite the opposite..i am proud to have it....can honestly say i have never had a problem at ibrox with it..i am proud to support both rangers and scotland and nothing would ever make me say any different
