Can anyone give me the best idea to keep yourself awake at work in the nights?

  1. Caffeine, energy bars ,redbull, windows open and some chocolate


  2. Bring an energy bar, lots of fluids to drink and some decent snacks (vegetables, fruits and a good sandwich.)

    Caffine will only get you temporary energy but then you come down from that quickly.

    When we have quiet nights at work, I bring a deck of cards to play... keeps your mind busy on something. If you can, bring something to fool about with that stimulates you.

    Also, sleep for 4 hours before you need to get ready for your shift. Less than that will affect your ability to stay up. If your schedule doesn't allow for that or its too complicated... then wait 4 hours before going to bed after returning home from a night shift. You need to train your body to sleep like its a morning... usually in the morning we wake up, get ready for work then get out the door. You need to treat the afternoons as your bedtime and wake up just before your shift.

  7. Wash your face with water, whenever you feel sleepy, try to think about any unsolved problem, have coffee.
