Note: I don't mind long answers.

I'll be graduating by 2009 and I need elaborative information regarding the study of economics. What are the courses you study? What are the advantages of taking that major? Most importantly, what are the job opportunities awaiting after you graduate with a BS degree on Economics?

You may consider if a student graduates from top schools for economics, like University of Chicago or the like.

It may also be apparent that each university has its own curriculum; if so, kindly name the school and specify its curriculum as well as the opportunities after graduating. Thank you very much for all your help.

  1. Depends on the school, but at least Econ I (macro economics) Econ II (micro economics), then you can go from there - like Money and Banking, Finance, Accounting, and some various supporting math courses like Linear Algebra.

You can work in a bank, stock broker, financial counselor, business planner, financial planner,
