I am not interested in daycare, but an actual preschool.

Of course, don't trust the web site to tell you if the school is good.  Go visit and see for yourself.

  2. My child went to Jane's Montessori Academy last year.  It's a preschool, but they have daycare as well.  I was amazed by the change in his behavior.  I always had problems getting him to listen to what I said, but after one school year he has improved so much.  He even cleans up after himself!  By the end of the year he was doing some multiplication equations.   He was so sad that the school year ended.

    The teachers are AWESOME too.

I am sure the other schools are good, but I have had a great experience with Jane's.  Hope that helps.

  3. I think any Montessori school you find will be good if they follow the Montessori standards. I just started working at a Montessori preschool and I am amazed at the level the children speak, behave, follow directions, resolve conflicts, etc.  Call a local Mont. school in your area and schedule a tour. They should be more than willing to do so. Good Luck!
