  1. Any good pipe manufacturing company will provide you the applicable specifications for any commercial pipes with its engineering schedule data - it also depends upon the piping material type and grade etc.

    Piping usage also depends upon application - process piping, boiler & pressure vessel piping, petrochemical industry piping etc.

    Application suitability - pressure, temperature, corrosion etc.

  2. *The overall formula used by ASME B31.3 for pressure design minimum thickness determination  is:

    t =P* Do / 2 (S* E * P* y)

    T=51*114/2*18.2*1*51*0.4)

    T=7.82 MM

    tm= t * A

    tm=7.82*2

    tm=15.65 MM

    Add corrosion allowance=3 mm

    tm=18.65 mm

    *Pipe O.D (mm.) 114

    Internal Design Pressure (barg) 51

    Stress Value for Mat'l from Table A-1 (N/mm2) 18.2

    Quality Factor ,E 1

    Corrosion Allowance (mm) 3.00

    Coefficient,Y (mm) 0.4

    *Minimum pipe wall thickness=19.8
