  1. In other words theres fancy middle class and poor class who quotted that?

  2. The very rich are " above' classification because of their great wealth and the poor cannot compete socially because they are impoverished, so all the so-called social stratafication and social climbing  happens within the boundaries of the middle class..

  3. This quote is an observation of how many Americans label themselves as middle class, no matter what class do they truly belong.  Rich people sometimes call themselves middle class so hide their wealth.  Middle class people naturally call themselves middle class.  Poor people call themselves middle class when they don't want to admit they are poor.

  4. The quote excludes the two extremes: the wealthy and the poor. The three social classes is constituted by the vast majority of the population. The fact of the matter is that there can be a large degree of upward or downward mobility in these classes. True wealth does not disappear with a few bad deals, it stays in the family for generation..therefore it is not really a class...because people rarely ascend to these heights. The supremely impoverished also remain impoverished for many generations...because this group rarely has the money to get an education (food often proves to be more important). People who are born in lower middle class can ascend to the upper middle class through a professional degree etc. Hope this helps!
