My cycles have been irregular since I started at 11. I have taken Provera in the past to help my body have a period after not having one for 6 months. Since taking that my cycles have gotten somewhat regular though not fully. I finally got pg after 3 yrs of ttc. I had a m/c in on April 23rd at 8 weeks. It took me 6 weeks to have a period and had one on June 8th and my next one July 13th. My cycles are usually only 4 or 5 days. My one in June was 6&1/2 and heavier than usual but I expected that.In the past my cycles have been moderate to heavy for the whole cycle time. My cycle in July was normal but my question is this....... I started on Friday (Aug 15th) for Friday and Saturday it was normal moderately heavy but Sunday it was very light and today although I am wearing a pad nothing is coming onto it but is there a little every time I wipe. What is your opinion on what is going on? Could I be pg and just having a light 'implantation' cycle or could I just be having a light cycle for no specific reason? Any (positive) thoughts are welcome.

  1. If there was any full red flow whatsoever I would consider it to be your period, and thus the start of a new cycle.  Length of period never matters, it is like a background task.  Sometimes they will be light and short, sometimes long and heavy.

If your cycles are always irregular, try googling the herb vitex.  I just started taking it last cycle as my periods are highly irregular as well.

Good luck!  Hopefully this next cycle is the one for you!

  2. More than likely you are just having a light cycle. I have had 2 day periods for the last ten years until I got pregnant and had a miscarriage.  now I have 4 to 6 day cycle and they vary. Your body changes after pregnacy regardless if you carry to term or not. it will get back to normal.

  3. i think ur cycle is just very irregular so is mine.i use to miss 3 months at a time and then have a period for about 3-4 weeks long.i had a miscarriage in april and every sense they been almost regular i see a period every month for a bout 5 days but my cycle length varies so i never know when I'm going to ovulate that makes it so hard.
