  1. Density is mass divided by volume.

    You know the mass 682g so you need the volume.

    Volume of a cube is LxWxH so 4.9 x 7.1 s 2.5 = 86.975cm^3

    Therfore density is 682g/86.975cm^3 =7.841g/cm^3

  2. First we need to calculate the volume of the block.

    Volume = length x height x depth

    V = 4.9 x 7.1 x 2.5 = 87 cm³

    Density = mass divided by volume

    D = 682 / 87

    D = 7.84 g/cm³
